Nigeria Sets for Brazil 2014

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have joined their Ivoirien counterparts in partially securing a spot at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil after beating the Walia Antelopes of Ethiopia 2-1 in Addis Ababa.
A goalless first half of the game saw the Ethiopians with a lot of possession over the Nigerians but they missed a lot of chances.
In the second half,Nigeria gained possession but conceded a controversial goal by Behailu Assefa in the 56th minute. Nigeria replied with a 68th minute goal by Emmanuel Emenike.
In the 89th minute,Emenike was brought down in the penalty box by Ahliyem Haliu. Haliu was booked and Emenike was awarded a penalty which he scored to give Nigeria a 2-1 lead.
The second leg and decider will be played in Calabar on November 16.
