New Coordinator sets to re-energise Kwara State OPC!
The new coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) in Kwara State, Comrade Oladipo Olayinka, has promised to reorganize the pan Yoruba socio-cultural group to fulfil its constitutional role in the interest of sons and daughters of Oduduwa in the state.
Speaking with Journalists after an emergency meeting of the organisation in Ilorin at the weekend, Comrade Olayinka said efforts would be made to shape up the organisation from its past decadence for Youruba people across the globe.
Comrade Olayinka, who eulogized the visionary steps of Otunba Gani Adams, said the OPC leader had developed the congress with innovation and developmental programmes.
“I commend Otunba Gani Adams for his vision and carriage in leading OPC world wide. He has helped to disabuse the minds of all Nigerians about OPC and introduced several cultural and traditional issues into the congress in a way that all Yoruba children now has an opportunity of knowing their culture better. It is in the line of this that I will work to uplift his pioneering efforts”, he said.
Comrade Olayinka also commended Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for his efforts in managing the state economy despite meager resources at the disposal of the government.
He also commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambari, for his fatherly role in leading all the people of Ilorin and its environs, adding value to the harmony and tranquillity in the metropolis and the state in general.
Also speaking, spokesman of OPC in the state, Comrade Abdulkareem Eleji, called for support of members for the new state coordinator, saying that it is only in unity that any organization could make progress.
