National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has flagged off its 2014 Graduate Attachment Programme, an initiative targeted at providing jobs for graduates for a period of six months before they are offered full time jobs.
According to Channels TV report, Director General of the agency, Mr Abubakar Mohammed while flagging off the programme in Abuja, said the plan will help reduce unemployment amongst the nation’s youths as well as arm them with the requisite job experience in their fields of study.
He said that a total of 740 youths across the country are to benefit from the programme.
The programme, according to Mr Mohammed, was introduced because of the growing number of unemployed graduates in the country.
