Nasarawa state APGA suspends Legal Adviser for Opposing Adoption of Maku as Gubernatorial Candidate
The Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, has suspended its Legal Adviser, Ayiwulu Baba Ayiwulu, after he berated the party’s decision to name Labaran Maku as the gubernatorial candidate over Matthew Ombugaku.
Ayiwulu, who granted an interview to the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, had said that Ombugaku remained the party’s flag bearer in the coming governorship election in the state and not Maku.
Subsequently, the state chairman of APGA, Chief John Ifeanyichukwu Amakor, announced the party’s decision to suspend Ayiwulu indefinitely because of his unauthorised statement on radio.
He said that the decision was reached after consultation with other executive members and stakeholders in the state.
