N1000 notes changed to N100 notes in Ilaro, Ogun ……affected businessman lost N217,000

A motor-cycles dealer has been reported to have been duped spiritually as money paid for two motor-cycles in N1000 notes turned to N100 notes afterwards.

The dealer, Amunkanwaye with his shop at Orita-Pahayi, Ibikunle road, Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State, Nigeria, penultimately Saturday, sold two motor-cycles to unsuspecting fraudsters who posed as genuine customers.

NigerianEcho learnt from a close relative of Amunkanwasaye that, the two men paid N240,000 for the two motor-cycles with N1000 mint notes but, after they left, the N1000 notes turned to N100 notes.

NigerianEcho learnt from our source that, only four N1000 notes left unchanged to N100 note from the total 240 N1000 notes paid by the “customers”.
