Mass communication students hold annual lecture in Ogun

The students of Mass Communication Department of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta had their annual lecture tagged “Diamond Lecture” with a theme “Public Relations Imperatives For Managing Corruption And Youth Unemployment In Nigeria” on Monday at the School Auditorium.
Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi who is also member Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, as a guest lecturer while speaking, enumerated some challenges and possibilities of fighting corruption and unemployment with PR principles.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in the State, Mr Tope Daramola added his voice to the assertions made by the guest lecturer and focused more on anatomy of corruption.
DSP Adejobi encouraged the students to embrace principles of public relations in fighting corruption and unemployment in Nigeria.
While urging the students to support the ongoing fight against corruption by the present administration, the police spokesman seized the opportunity to campaign against cultism and social vices that are inimical to peaceful coexistence and development in our contemporary society.
He urged the school(Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta) to maintain its solid internal structures to fight crimes and Cultism on the campus and same must be repeated/applicable in all tertiary institutions in Ogun State.
The chairman of the occasion, Hon Dayo Adeneye, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ogun State, who was represented by Mrs Moni Falade While appreciating the organisers encouraged the students to harness opportunities highlighted in the lecture for their betterment.
