Mary J Blige’s Father in Critical Condition After Stab in Neck
The father of multi-platinum-selling singer, Mary J Blige has been critically injured after being stabbed in the neck.
Police in, Battle Creek, Michigan, where Blige’s father lives say Thomas Blige’s ex-girlfriend is being held on an attempted murder charge following the attack.
Officers say the 63-year-old suffered a neck wound in the attack, which happened at around 7am on Wednesday. He was then taken to a Methodist Hospital, which has said it has no information on his condition.
A Detective told reporters that officers recovered the knife and found Blige’s ex-girlfriend with blood on her clothing. She is presently in a County jail and is due to appear before a court on Friday.
