Manchester United Suffers Shock 4-0 Defeat to MK Dons
Louis van Gaal’s has lost his third competitive match in charge of Manchester United boss in a humiliating 4-0 defeat to League One MK Dons.
In their first League Cup second round match in 19 years, United lost to MK, who were playing in front of the biggest crowd in their 11-year history.
Striker Will Grigg scored after a Jonny Evans mistake and then chested in a second after the break. Benik Afobe, on loan from Arsenal, scored two more to complete an embarrassing rout for the Premier League giants which is a second defeat for the Red devils in two weeks.
Van Gaal’s starting line-up comprised of Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck, David De Gea, Jonny Evans, Anderson, Shinji Kagawa, debutants Saidy Janko and Reece James and returning defender Jonny Evans could not muster a reply.
United will now face Burnley on Saturday still in search of their first competitive victory under the Dutch.
