Manchester United gets Falcao, Releases Chicharito

Manchester United have agreed a season-long loan deal for Radamel Falcao on Transfer deadline day.

The move for the Colombian also includes an option to make it permanent though United need central defensive and midfield reinforcements more than another striker.

Manager Louis van Gaal however complained about Robin van Persie’s slow progress to full fitness after the goalless draw at Burnley on Saturday.

On sunday, the Red devils and Real Madrid also agreed a season-long loan deal for striker Javier Hernandez which is expected to be completed on Monday.

The Mexico international is said to have grown increasingly frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities at Old Trafford and had been linked with several clubs during the transfer window, including Valencia and Juventus.

Falcao had been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer but Real appear to have turned their attention to ‘Chicharito’ to boost their striking options.

Hernandez joined Manchester United from FC Guadalajara four years ago and has scored 59 goals in 154 matches.
