Malouda moves to Metz on Free Transfer
Former Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda has signed a one-year contract with French Ligue 1 club Metz, with an option for a second season.
The former France international has moved from Turkey’s Trabzonspor to Metz on a free transfer after leaving in August due to a disagreement with manager Vahid Halilhodzic.
After the transfer, Malouda said: “Metz is a historic club with a presitigious past. I felt a real ambition at the club, there’s a real coherence in their project.”
Malouda began his career in 1997 with Chateauroux, joined Guincamp and then Lyon in 2003. He moved to Chelsea in 2007, and played there for six years before transferring to Turkey.
