Lt. Colonel, terrorists die, soldiers wounded in Boko Haram ambush

A lieutenant-Colonel on Wednesday lost his life during a battle between troops and members of the Boko Haram sect, Daily Post has reported.
The report has it that the sect had ambushed the troops who were traveling in a convoy of 3 Hilux vehicles along Bama-Konduga axis when the Boko Haram fighters emerged and opened fire on them.
During the attack many members of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents were killed, while a number of the army troops suffered serious injuries.
The fallen unnamed Lt. Col., who was one of those with severe wounds, gave up the ghost after battling for his life.
