Local War: 7 Boko Haram Members Arrested And Burnt In Borno

Yesterday in Gwoza and Bama local government areas of Borno State, residents of Attagara and Kawuri villages reportedly repelled attacks on their community by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
According to a source, Mallam Mamman Yakubu, a 20-year-old vigilante youth who spoke with newsmen, the attackers invaded the village yesterday on motorcycles but met some women who were readily waiting for them.
Mallam Yakubu, who participated in repelling the insurgents, said: “they wanted to hit the women with sticks but when they raised the sticks, their hands refused to descend.”
He further stated that, “We were able to kill many of the terrorists who invaded our community yesterday night.”
“Three of the insurgents fled, but seven were not lucky as the women alerted the people,” and the vigilante group in the community rushed to the scene, disarmed the seven insurgents, who were later burnt.
The incident which was confirmed by a top security source said that the Boko Haram terrorists were killed in a nearby bush of Kawuri when they attempted to flee to the Sambisa Forest.
