Liverpool Fights Chelsea Over Moses
Chelsea football club appears to be close to signing the 24 year old Nigerian international, Victor Moses, from Wigan Athletic. The move is coming on the hill of the interest shown by Liverpool on the Latics forward. But the chairman of wigan, Dave Whelan appears not to be impressed with the Chelsea’s initial offer of £4m which was turned down emphatically.
Reports have it that Chelsea are willing to increase the price to £5m.This may be a far cry from the Wigan’s demand. Dave Whelan wants something closer to £10m and that may be an opportunity for Liverpool to snatch the promising striker.
Whelan says he is under no pressure to sell Moses as he still has 12 months to run on his current contract. Moses is however interested in a move to stamford Bridge as he was reported to have instructed his agent to make his transfer to Chelsea a reality.
