Otunba Stephen Olukayode Ogundipe, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency-1, has launched the second edition of his annual summer coaching programme. Hon. Ogundipe while speaking with NigerianEcho said his commitment to both academic excellence and character development is unwavering, unflinching and unflagging

The lawmaker who is also known in his constituency as Omoj’omolo said this year’s programme will feature special rewards for students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and positive character traits during the summer coaching classes. He reiterated his commitment to the education and welfare of his constituents, promising to unveil further initiatives in the coming weeks.

The 2024 edition of the summer coaching will be held in three locations: Ikeja Junior Grammar School, Ewu Tuntun Junior Grammar School and Mafoluku Junior Grammar School. Students have been directed to pick up their application forms at Overcomers Digital Services Ltd, 3 Rasheed Abayomi Street, Mafoluku and Block A Suite 9, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Shopping Complex, Oyetayo Street, Bolade

While appreciating the Tutor General/Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Education for the approval to use the centres, the former Chairman of Agege Local Government said without the logistic supports provided, the programme would have been difficult to plan.

“The program is designed to enhance academic skills and provide students with additional learning opportunities and support in key subjects. Promote personal development, foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, encourage academic excellence, recognize and reward outstanding students for their hard work and dedication. It is designed for students to cultivate positive character and promote values, respect, responsibility, and integrity”, Ogundipe said.

The programme is expected to run throughout the summer months, offering a valuable learning experience for students in the constituency. He enjoined parents and guidance to get their children registered and ensure forms are obtained and submitted at the designated centers on or before Friday 2nd, August 2024. He had however distributed some application forms among stakeholders in fulfillment of promises made during the electoral campaign.
