Lafarge Africa To Spend N200m For Re-construction of Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway

Lafarge Africa Plc, a subsidiary of Lafarge Holcim, has budgeted N200 million for re-construction of a part of Lagos – Abeokuta expressway.‎

A statement issued by the Company’s Corporate Communications Manager, Ade Ojolowo said the reconstruction which started two weeks ago will cover 3 kilometres portion of the highway that passes in front of Lafarge’s plants (WAPCO Operations) in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun state.

It reads inter alia: “Lafarge Africa Plc is committing about N200m to the 3 km road from Agbesi to Itori in Ewekoro.

“This is an indication of the company’s commitment to safety of lives and property and in furtherance of its CSR efforts.

“It is also to complement efforts of the government”.

The statement added that the cement company is working in collaboration with the Ogun State government in the design of the reconstruction.
