Labaran Maku Confirms Reason for Leaving PDP, Solicits Support for Jonathan

The Immediate past Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, has said that his interest in the 2015 governorship election in Nasarawa State is still very much alive despite losing at the Peoples Democratic Party primary election.

Maku who was delivering his New Year Message at St. Williams Cathedral, Lafia, also said he believes President Goodluck Jonathan is the best President Nigeria has ever produced.

He also disclosed his decision to defect from the PDP to the All Progressives Grand Alliance was influenced by the refusal of the party’s Appeal Panel to respond to the petition he submitted after the primaries, saying no amount of conspiracy would stop him from contesting the 2015 general elections.

He also advised the electorate to vote for candidates who were ready to develop the state and tackle the challenges present, and not based on religious or ethnicity.

He urged all his supporters to support the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 as he deserved a second term for transforming all the sectors of the nationa’s economy.
