Keshi tips Emenike to return to Goal-scoring Form soon
Super Eagles’ Coach, Stephen Keshi has said that he believes striker Emmanuel Emenike’s goals drought in the national team will soon end.
Keshi believes that Emenike, whose display in the Eagles’ past AFCON Qualifying matches against Congo and South Africa was filled with misses, will soon return to his goal-scoring form.
“Emenike has always been a consistent top striker in the mould of the Late Rashidi Yekini, if he does not score now, it does not mean that he will not score soonest.” He said,“I have absolute confidence in him, because he is a young man and when he starts scoring, the goals will never dry up.”
The Turkish-based striker scored his last goal for Nigeria against Ethiopia to help the country qualify for the World Cup in Brazil. He has however, been helpful in assisting his teammates.
