Keshi says Eagles are not Afraid of Brazil 2014 Group Opponents
Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi has declared that his team is in no way afraid of any of its group opponents at next year’s World Cup in Brazil although the group is a tough one.
Keshi commented on the draws for the World Cup held last week in Brazil, declaring that contrary to views held by soccer fans in the country, Nigeria’s group F, which also has Argentina, Bosnia Herzegovina and Iran, was a very tough group.
“It’s a tough group and those who understand football will know what I’m saying,” Keshi said. “But we are not scared, we will prepare well and see what happens at the tournament.”
African champions, Nigeria, will start out against Iran before taking on debutant Bosnia and then end the group phase with a potential fiery clash against Argentina.
Already, the Nigeria Football Federation has assured Keshi of maximum support as Nigeria hopes for an historic outing in Brazil.
