Keshi “Gives Up” on Super Eagles’ Job
Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi has reportedly decided to move on from his managing role, as he is said to have given up on waiting for the Nigerian Football Federation to accept his proposed terms for a new contract.
He also said he believes that NFF is more focused on it’s internal politics than the welfare of the National team.
“I can’t wait any more the NFF is not serious.I have moved on.I can only wish the country well for the future”, said Keshi. “Sadly, I also think attention is focused more on the upcoming NFF elections and the national team is simply not a priority.”
The federation is said to be undergoing crisis as it’s top leaders and officials vie for positions to direct its affairs and FIFA just ordered the reinstatement of former president, Aminu Maigari.
Expressing his dedication to the National team, Keshi said he had shunned seven countries who approached him before making the decision to move on.
