Kano Pillars Retain Title As Nigerian Premier League Ends

Despite losing two goals to nothing to the Lobi Stars, Kano Pillars have retained the Nigerian Premier Football League Cup with 63 points after strong contenders,Bayelsa United and El-Kanemi both lost 1-0 to Gombe United and Rangers respectively.

Today marked the end of the league with Kano Pillars topping the table as Nigerian champions, Enyimba united are placed second with 62 points after beating Sharks 1-0, Bayelsa United finished third wíth 61 points and El-Kanemi are placed fourth with 60 points.

Placed Bottom of the table and to face relegation are Kwara United with 50 points, ABS F.C with 49 points and 3SC with 46 points.

Kano Pillars are the first club to win the cup twice in a row in 10 years since Enyimba in 2012 and 2013,and will now play in the 2014 CAF Champions League for the first time since 2011.
