KADUNA REFINING COMPANY TRAINS 600 JOB SEEKERS

Kaduna Refining and Petrochemicals Company (KRPC) has disclosed that it recently trained over 600 young job seekers.
This was disclosed by the KRPC Managing Director, Saidu Aliyu Mohammed, after signing a memorandum of understanding with Small Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) on training of unemployed youths in Kaduna State.
According to Mohammed, the training, conducted under the Youths Empowerment Skill Acquisition Programme (YESAP) was meant to improve the livelihood of the beneficiaries through income generation activities.
He said further that the company introduced YESAP programme to train unemployed youths within its host communities on various skills, adding that the company provided take-off grants to all youths trained to enable them start their own businesses.
“We have so far trained over 600 unemployed youths within our host communities in various skills under our YESAP program. We hope this signing of M.O.U with SMEDAN will benefit our trained youths to access funds and be self employed”, he said.
