Jonathan Sacks Stella Oduah, Indicted Minister of Aviation
Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday relieved the indicted Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, of her appointment. Other ministers who also left the Cabinet include Elder Godsday Orubebe, Minister of Niger Delta, Caleb Olubolade, Police Affairs and the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Yerima Ngama.
While Olubolade was reported to have left the Cabinet for political reasons as he is set to contest for the gubernatorial election of Ekiti State slated for June 21, others were removed due to their excesses which have become embarrassing to the President, sources in the Presidency told NigerianEcho .
Oduah was indicted by the House of Representatives for the purchase, in Aviation Ministry, of two BMW bullet proof cars which cost a whopping 225 Million dollars. Despite several calls from well meaning Nigerians for her resignation, Oduah stuck to her gun instead accused real and imaginary enemies as working towards her downfall.
Just Tuesday, Oduah gave “order” expelling operatives of the State Security Services, DSS from the Nation’s Airports, a directed the DSS said it would ignore. Oduah was an integral part of the campaign team that worked for the election of President Jonathan in 2011, having served as the Treasurer of the committee.
