Jonathan sacks Chief Executive of NIPC as Termination Galore continues
President Goodluck Jonathan has terminated the appointment of the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Saratu Altine Umar, with immediate effect.
The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, announced the news and named Umar’s replacement as Uju Aisha Hassan-Baba.
Hassan-Baba is a former Director-General of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, a former Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice in Anambra State and also a former Director, Legal Services, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Stating no reason for Umar’s sack, Abati said: “President Jonathan thanks the out-going Executive Secretary/Chief Executive for her services and wishes her well in her future endeavours.”
