American Comedian, Joan Rivers is now completely reliant on life-support machine after cardiac arrest.

The 81-year-old star was rushed to hospital in New York on Thursday after she stopped breathing while undergoing a throat surgery at a clinic, and put into a medically induced coma.

Though her family hope that she will bounce back and recover her full health, they only have a couple of days to decide whether or not to turn the machines off

Rivers is the current co-host of “Fashion Police” on the E! television channel and also helps hosts CNN’s New Year coverage from Times Square.

Earlier this week, she had said she had no physical ailments and described herself as “lucky” as she said she did not follow a special diet to keep her active.
