Jimi Agbaje wins Lagos PDP Primaries

Jimi Agbaje will fly the Gubernatorial flag of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos at the 2015 general elections after defeating former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, in the Party’s Primary Elections.According to reports, the counting and declaration of the results caused an uproar, while some persons tried to grab the ballot box.

There were also reported discrepancies between the number of delegates and the number of ballots counted as 806 delegates were recorded but 863 ballots were counted at the end of the election.

Agbaje and Obanikoro were governorship candidates of the Democratic Peoples Alliance and the PDP respectively in 2007.
