Jega Confirms Elections will Hold on March 28 and April 11
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Atahiru Jega, has said the commission is ready to conduct the 2015 general elections scheduled to take place next week.
Professor Jega who was at a meeting with Civil Society Organisations in Abuja on Wednesday, said that although INEC is ready for the elections, the security of the personnel that will be deployed for the exercise, especially in the north east where troops are currently battling to flush out boko haram insurgents.
He confirmed that the elections which were postponed from February 14 due to security concerns will hold unfailingly on March 28 and April 11.
