Iyaloja of Ijebuland Assasinated

Tragedy struck on Wednesday in the ancient town of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, when unknown persons attacked and killed the Iyaloja of Ijebuland, Alhaja Sadia Elewuju at her residence in in the town.
A police source said, the gunmen, numbering six, reportedly stormed the residence of the 82-year Elewuju at about 3:00 pm on Wednesday and attacked her with machetes.
Mama Elewuju was said to have given up the ghost while on her way to the hospital.
The deceased was installed as Iyaloja of Ijebu Ode by the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
