Isiaka expresses shock over Oyekan’s death

Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka has expressed shock over the sudden death of an advertising guru and Chairman, Colour Image Publicity Limited,  High Chief (Dr) Kolawole Oyekan JP.

Chief Oyekan, the Adele-Olu Ilaro  died on Tuesday April 26, this year, three days after he marked his 70th birthday.

Isiaka, who described the highly cosmopolitan Chief Oyekan as one of the illustrious sons of Yewaland and indeed, Ogun State noted that he would be remembered for his roles in developing commerce in the state.

He was a member of Ogun State Elders Consultative Forum and the Chairman of Ogun West Poverty Alleviation Committee of the Elders Forum.

He said, “As the President Ogun Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agric in 2007, Chief Oyekan worked assiduously to expose many hidden potentials in the state to investors. We shall also continue to remember his role in developing commerce in Yewaland which he once headed”.

Isiaka also noted that many will not forget in a hurry Oyekan’s contribution to the development of commerce in the South West as a strong member and President of Oodua Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mine & Agric in 2009.

He said, “His death coming at this moment is not only painful but devastating because of his dream of attracting more investors to Yewaland and Ogun State. I pray God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.‎
