Isiaka Accuses INEC, Amosun of Perfecting Documents to Justify Polls’ Results
The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State in the April 11 election, Prince Gboyega Isiaka, has accused Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of Perfecting Documents to Justify the results announced for the polls.
The Director of Media of his Campaign organisation, Ifekayode Akinbode, released a statement saying youth coppers have been summoned to Abeokuta’s office of INEC to sign some documents to justify the announced results.
The statement is below:
Press Release
Information reaching us indicates that the rigging done by the APC to deny the PDP of the governorship victory on a Saturday is still at the moment being perfected by INEC, a co-conspirator in the rigging plot.
It will be recalled that the PDP was cruising to victory on the night of Saturday based on the polling booth results from various locations across the state; which showed GNI to be leading in no less than fourteen local governments.
We woke up in the morning of Sunday to see INEC declare huge figures in Abeokuta South, Abeokuta North, Ifo, Obafemi Owode, Odeda and Ado Odo/Ota local governments in favour of Amosun. This to us was magical considering considering that there was voter apathy in most part of Ogun Central.
We have it on good authority that as at yesterday evening and up till the early hours of today, INEC summoned the youth corpers that served as Polling Officers in some locations to come to the commission’s headquarters in Abeokuta to write and sign results sheets of some polling booths across the state.
This is shocking and a further confirmation of the blatant electoral fraud that happened on Saturday. It is unfortunate that the umpire that is supposed to be unbiased indeed supervised the electoral heist and is now perfecting the results written on Saturday.
This is to inform the general public so as to set the records straight. We are consoled that the masses that voted for the PDP also know what happened to the mandate they freely gave GNI
While Sen. Ibikunle Amosun can continue celebrating the stolen mandate he holds, his conscience will stab him all through the time he occupies the office till justice is done. The ignoble roles of Obasanjo and INEC in this poll theft will go down to posterity.

Ifekayode Akinbode
