Investigation commences on Medview Aircraft air return with 104 on board
Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and the Accident Investigation and Prevention Bureau has commenced investigation to ascertain the cause of air return made by Medview aircraft this morning.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737, with registration nos 5NBPB, which took off with 99 passengers and 5 crew members en route Abuja made a air return described as “precautionary” to its departure point in Lagos without casuality five minutes after taken off.
A statement by signed by the Coordinating Spokesperson of Aviation Parastatals, Yakubu Dati, said the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and the Accident Investigation and Prevention Bureau “have already commenced investigation to ascertain the cause of the air return”.
The statement call on the general public, especially aviation stakeholders, to resist the urge to sensationalise an incident that is already under control.
“We remain committed to a safe and secure aviation sector.” It concluded.
