INEC postpones Bayelsa state Assembly Election Indefinitely
The Independent National Electoral Commission has stated that the Bayelsa State Assembly election which was declared inconclusive in some constituencies on April 11, will no longer hold next week as scheduled.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Bayelsa State, Baritor Kpagi, said this on Tuesday while updating journalists about the state of affairs in the just concluded elections.
According to the REC, the press conference was conducted so as to clarify some wrong results that some parties had been releasing.
According to him, the commission has announced winners for 20 constituencies and declared two constituencies inconclusive.
