INEC Ad-Hoc Staff in Taraba state Swear Neutrality Oath

The Ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Taraba State on Saturday took an oath of neutrality ahead of the general elections.

The oath was administered to the 12,000 staff by Magistrate Yazeedu Aliyu of the Chief Magistrates’ Court in Jalingo.

The commission’s Head of Public Affairs in the state, Fabian Yame, during the exercise, which was carried out in all the local ‎government headquarters across the state, said it was to ensure the staff remain unbiased during the elections.

He also assured of INEC’s readiness for the elections and urged all stakeholders to collaborate with the commission to ensure peaceful, free and fair elections.
