Impersonator remanded in Kirikiri Prison for failure to perfect bail terms

A man accused of impersonating a superintendent pharmacist to defraud a company of N447, 500, in pretext that he would register their pharmaceutical company has been remanded in Ikoyi Prison.
The accused, Lazarus Akagbusi was remanded by Magistrate Peter Nwaka because he was unable to meet the bail condition of N100,000, with two sureties that must be gainfully empolyed.
Akagbusi, whose address is not given, is standing trial on a one-count charge of impersonation.
The accused according to the prosecutor, Cpl. Femi Adeleye, on March 11, at 2 p.m. at 167 Akowonjo area of Lagos, fraudulently obtained sum of N 447, 500.
The prosecutor told court that the accused on the said date and time did collect N 447, 500 from Rem-G Pharmaceutical Company, having presented himself as a superintendent pharmacist.
Akagbusi was alleged to have said he was going to assist the said company to register their premises for legal manufacturing of drugs, which he knew was false.
Adeleye informed the court the offence contravened Section 312 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused who pleaded not guilty to the charge was ordered remanded in Kirikiri Prison as he was not able to satisfy his bail terms.
