Immigration Recruitment Exercise: Presidency Summons Interior Minister, Immigration Boss
The Presidency has summoned the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, and the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, David Parradang, over the death of no fewer than 16 persons during Saturday’s recruitment exercise by the NIS.
Sources in presidency said, Moro and Parradang, were with the Chief of Staff to President Goodluck Jonathan, retired General Jones Arogbofa Monday afternoon.
Abuja centre had on Saturday recorded seven deaths, while three persons died in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and two in Minna, Niger State. One person each died in Owerri, Gombe and Benin.
All Progressives Congress, APC had called for the probe of the deaths and possible dismissal of minister of interior.
