Ijesa Muslims Council Honours Aregbesola, Muiz Banire
Ijesa Muslim Council today honoured the Executive Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Dr Muiz Adeyemi Banire, a former Commissioner for Environment, Lagos State and National Legal Adviser of Alliance for Progressive Congress, APC.
While Governor Rauf Aregbesola bagged the award of the “The Symbol of Islam” in the State, Dr Muiz Banire was decorated with the title of Baba Adinni of Ijesaland.
Residents of Ijesaland defied the heavy down pour and came out in their thousands to cheer up the duo.
Dignitaries at the occasion include: HRM Oba Munirudeen Adeposi Bashorun, the Orugbogbo of Imoru-Ijebu, Ogun State who was decorated as The Most Outstanding Royal Father of Ijesa Muslim Ummah; Rt Hon Najeem Folasayo Salaam, Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly; Senator Abba Bukar Ibraheem, the Waziri of Ijesa Muslim Ummah and Otunba of Ijesaland; Senator Babajide Omoworare, Alhaji Sheikh Mustapha Olayiwola Ajisafe, Grand Imam of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States; Alhaji Sheikh Mohammed Jamiu Idris, Chief Imam of Ijesaland;Alhaji Dhikrullahi Sanni, President-General, Ijesa Muslim Council; Executive Chairmen from the State of Osun and Lagos, Chief James Cardinal Odumbaku(a.k.a.Baba Eto) and Alhaji Enilolobo, the youth leader of APC in South West.
