Ijebu Ode Murder: Ogun Police Boss commiserates with Family of The Slain Iyaloja

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali,who assumed duty barely 24hrs in the State on Friday visited the Ijebu-Ode home of the slain Iyaloja of Ijebu Ode,late Mrs Sadiat Elewuju,82, who was attacked and killed by some yet unknown hoodlums on Wednesday around 4.30pm in her house located at Sabo area Ijebu-Ode to commiserate with the family.
The Commissioner, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta, DCP Shina Olukolu, Deputy Commisiooner of Police in charge of Department of Operations, DCP Bello Makwashi, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi and others assured the family members of late Mrs Sadiat Elewuju and good people of Ogun state of adequate and prompt investigation into the case.
Compol Ali, in a statement by the PPRO, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi had promised to apprehend the culprits in the Iyaloja murder case within one week as all hands will be on deck to unravel the killing.
He also promised the people of the State of adequate protection of lives and property now that he has taken over the mantle of leadership of the command.
Responding on behalf of the family, the younger brother to the deceased, Alhaji Gani Sote appreciated the command for its support and commitment.
He said “I confessed that i never liked the Police but you people surprised and tripped me, now I am in love with the Police”.
His sibling,Mr Omololu Lawal, also commended the Commissioner of Police and the entire command for their professionalism and assurances of arresting the culprits.
Meanwhile, CP Ali has ordered the deployment of additional Anti Crime teams, including Anti Cultism and Kidnapping, Anti Robbery, Special Anti Robbery(SARS) and Operation Safer Highway.
