IGP to Deploy Special Team to Ekiti state to curb Increasing Kidnapping Rate

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has promised to address the high rate of kidnappings in the Ekiti State immediately.

Arase, who was visited by the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose on monday, promised to deploy a special team in Ekiti and Kogi states within the next 48 hours in response to the call for help from the state.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Fayose, Idowu Adelusi, the IGP stated his commitment to safety in all states in the nation.

The governor also sued for the co-operation of citizens, saying that all hands must be on deck irrespective of party affiliations, to ensure the state is peaceful again.
