IGP Deploys 350 Officers to Kogi state to fight Violence

The Inspector- General of Police, Solomon Arase has deployed 350 anti-riot policemen to Kogi State to curb the increasing rates of kidnapping in the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, told newsmen on Friday in Lokoja, saying that although the crime situation in the state is not unmanageable, the IG drafted policemen from Abuja and other adjoining commands mainly to volatile areas in the state.

He re-affirmed the force’s commitment to safeguarding the lives of the residents of the state and fighting violence at all costs.
