Human Rights Lawyer’s Killer Arrested, Handed Over To Special Anti-Robbery Squad

A man suspected to have stabbed a human rights lawyer, kunle Fadipe to death at his home Thursday night and later arrested by members of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, has been handed over to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Ikeja, Lagos, for interrogation.

The suspect, was said to have stabbed Barrister Fadipe, 51, who is also Chairman, Harmony Estate Community Development Association, CDA, in the neck on the fateful day.

The killer according to information gained access to deceased house to do the havoc when, the deceased’s son went out to switch on their generator, when electricity was off not knowing that the person that would  kill his father was at the door.

After the incident the OPC men were said to have waded in and caught the suspect who was shot in the leg while trying to evade arrest.

“Special Anti-robbery squad of Lagos state are now in-charge of the case to ascertain whether the case was a robbery or assassination,” a member of OPC in the area told NigerianEcho.

Barrister Fadipe, until his untimely death was a visiting member, Editorial Board of The Guardian Newspapers.
