Halilhodzic resigns as Algeria’s Coach

Vahid Halilhodzic has resigned as coach of the Algeria National team after leading the team to the knockout stage of the World Cup.
Algeria finished second in group H, the first round of the tournament in Brazil, just behind Belgium and ahead of Russia and Korea before being eliminated in the second round by Germany.
In a statement published on the official website of the Algeria federation, Halilhodzic thanked “the players and all staff members who assisted me during my mission. “
” I will always keep fond memories of extraordinary hospitality Algerians who supported me from day one and have always remained confident“, the Bosnian said. “I will not forget and I will never forgive certain people in the media who have attacked me and my family.”
