HAJJ: AMOSUN BOOSTS OGUN PILGRIMS WELFARE

The Ogun State Government has assured pilgrims from the state presently in Saudi Arabia for the 2013 hajj exercise PIX 2of continuous provision of adequate welfare during their stay in the Holy Land.
Chairman of the State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Dr. Isiaq Yusuf disclosed this today while announcing the package of 200 Riyadh each for over 1200 pilgrims from the state in the city of Mecca.
Speaking on his behalf, a member of the Board, Alhaji Abidoye Amosun announced that a special monetary package was arranged for the pilgrims to ease their mode of feeding while performing the obligatory rites at the Mina camp, where they are expected to stay for 4 days after the climbing of mount Arafat.
Amosun noted that in anticipation of climbing of mount Arafat on Monday October 14, the  movement of pilgrims has been scheduled to commence on Sunday October 13 2013, adding that arrangements have been concluded for the safe airlifting of pilgrims back to the country as soon as all rites have been concluded.
“A special package has been provided for all for all pilgrims from Ogun state personally by the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, to aid in the area of feeding while on the 4 day stay in Mina camp to complete hajj rites. You must preserve your health for the task ahead which is mainly to ensure you complete all stipulated rites expected of pilgrims for all the efforts to be accepted by almighty Allah,” he stated.
He enjoined them to sustain the exemplary characters they have been exhibiting ‎ since the commencement of the exercise which have earned them accolades, admonishing them to always be their brother’s keeper during and after the completion of the hajj exercise.
Reacting to the development, Engineer Raji Abdul-Raman, a pilgrim, appreciated the good gesture by the Governor and conduct of board officials since the commencement of the hajj operations.
Also, Alhaja Sikiratu Alawiye explained that though there might have been some hitches but the conduct of the exercise have been very successful in the area of adequate welfare provision for the all the pilgrims.
