Gunmen attack girls secondary school in Bauchi, kill 5-year-old

Bauchi State police command on Sunday said unknown gunmen set ablaze some houses in the staff quarters of Government Girls Secondary School, GGSS, Yana, killing a five-year old girl.
The command spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, revealed that the gunmen also burnt a telecommunication mast in the town.
According to him, the gunmen stole a private car belonging to the principal of the school.
Sunday attack came barely a week after gunmen abducted 129 girls from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State.
It is not clear whether the two attacks on government girls schools are related.
