Governor Aregbesola Assures Youth Corpers of State Security

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has assured Youth Corpers posted to the state of safety and security.

The Commissioner for Youths and Special Needs, Stephen Kola-Balogun, who represented the governor in Ede at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2014 batch “B” corps members deployed to the state on Thursday, said:

” There is no doubt that any society were peace reigns will experience a lot of development. We have not taken the issues of security with levity. That is why we have been able to carry on with a lot of development projects so as to give our people a new lease of life.

” I want to assure you that our people are peace loving, warm and accommodating. So also want to assure you that the welfare and safety of corps members will be given priority.”

The NYSC coordinator in Osun State, Abada Okpiroro, in his address, advised the youths to adhere to the rules of the camp and behave responsibly.

”At this juncture, I want to enjoin the course participants to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner and abide by the camp rules and regulations and above all, anticipate fully in all the activities in order to have a fulfilling service year.

” The skill acquisition programme will be organised for you and I want to charge  you  to take good advantage of it. The fact remains that white collar jobs are scarce but if you acquire a skill now, it will assists you to take off smoothly after service.”
