Gov. Ugwuanyi, deputy undertake bio-metric capture for salaries
Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and his deputy, Mrs Cecilia Ezeilo, on Friday undertook the bio-metric data capture required by the state government for salary payment.
The duo was captured at the Office of the Accountant General of the state in the ministry of finance, Enugu.
After the capture, Ugwuanyi expressed delight with the exercise, noting that he and his deputy were now eligible public servants who would be earning their salaries along with other workers in the state public service.
Ugwuanyi also inspected some of the offices in the ministry, asking the workers about some of their challenges and expectations as well.
In his remark, the Accountant General of the state, Mr Pascal Okolie, observed that the governor and his deputy were now eligible to earn their salaries.
Okolie assured them that the arrears of the June salary would be paid with that of July.
