Gov Aregbesola expresses Disappointment over Inability to pay Workers’ Salaries
Governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola, has said he is unhappy at the lack of payment of the salaries of civil servants in the state for the past six months.
Governor Aregbesola while speaking at an event marking a state partnership with Airtel Nigeria, in Ilesa on Thursday, said:
”It is painful to me that we have not paid our workers but we are working to put this one behind us. Let them know that we are pained by this situation but those who created the problem will soon go away. We will not dance today. After May 29th, light will come to Nigeria, joy will come to Nigeria, prosperity will come to Nigeria.
“They are the harbinger of the challenge we are facing in Nigeria but they will never come back again. I thank you because you joined us to chase them out with our votes, they will never come back again.”
He went on to describe the victory of the APC in the presidential poll as the will of God while also applauding the tenacity that transformed the party from governing only Lagos State in the 2003 election to ruling the government at the federal level.
