Gombe United appoint Eguaveon as New Technical Adviser
Glo Premier League club, Gombe United, has appointed former Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen, as the new Technical Adviser of the team and Ex-international, Oladuni Oyekale, as the Chief Coach.
The two coaches signed contract which lasts till the end of the season, with the Savannah Scorpions on wednesday. They are expected to resume work as the League continues in a few days.
Club officials revealed that the government of Gombe State approved the signing of the new Technical Adviser because the team wasn’t doing well and were near the bottom of the Premier League table at the end of the first round of the 2013/14 season.
The primary mission of the newly appointed coaches will be to lift the club out of the bottom of the table. The management board also assured that they will give them all the support needed to see that the club escapes relegation.
Gombe United have also signed seven new players and dropped some others based on the recommendation of the technical crew in order to restructure the team for the better.
