Glasgow Commonwealth Games: Team Nigeria takes Medal Tally to 4 on Day 3

At the end of day three, Australia have taken the lead from England at the top of the Commonwealth Games medals table.
Australia picked up seven golds on Saturday and Both countries had 17 gold medals and 14 silver, but Australia added two more gold medals making 19 and 14 on bronze.
Nigeria continued her impressive show in weightlifting as two Nigerian weightlifters, Ndidi Winifred and Yinka Ayenuwa got silver medals for coming in second.
Winifred participated in the Women’s 58kg A Final at the Scottish Exhibition And Conference Centre. She got the silver medal, while Zoe Smith of England won gold and Michaela Breeze of Wales got bronze.
Ayenuwa participated in the Men’s 69kg at the weightlifting final at the Clyde Auditorium. He was 2nd behind Mohd Hafifi Mansor of Malaysia while Omkar Otari of India came in third.
Hosts Scotland remain third on the medals table with 11 gold medals and 25 medals in total while Canada follow in fourth place with 7 gold medals and a total of 16 medals.
South Africa are sixth on the table with 3 gold medals and 14 medals in total. Nigeria is on the eleventh spot with 1 gold medal and 4 medals in total while Cameroon is thirteenth with 1 silver and bronze medal each but no gold medal.
