Four injured in Ibadan gas explosion
A leakage from a gas distribution company in Ibadan on Monday has reportedly caused gas explosion that rocked the Challenge area of the city injuring four persons.
The explosion from Hephzibah Petroleum Limited, also affected three vehicles and a motorcycle.
Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, Olabisi Ilobabafor, while confirming the explosion said the incident happened during a gas transfer from a mobile tanker to a stationary one in the premises of the company.
Information has it that, one man who was passing by the company when the explosion occurred and a taxi driver who was said to have trapped in his car by the explosion were severely burnt.
Three of the victims were rushed to Lad Medical Centre while another was taken to the Intensive Care Unit of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, because of the severity of his injury.
