Former Kano deputy gov. Bibi Farouk dies
Former Deputy Governor of Kano state under Mohammed Abubakar Rimi’s administration in the Second Republic, Alhaji Bibi Farouk, is dead.
Farouk, 90, died in Kano on Monday after a protracted illness. His son, Dr Farouk Bibi Farouk, confirmed the death to NAN.
The late Farouk was the deputy governor to late Governor Rimi between 1979 and 1981 before he was removed from office by the then state House of Assembly.
