FALCONETNigeria’s Asisat Oshoala and Uchechi Sunday both scored twice on Sunday as the Super Falconets won New Zealand 4-1 to cruise into the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 semi-finals.

Repeating the team’s feat against Korea Republic in the group stage, Oshoala scored just 31 seconds into the game, finishing an attack that began from the kick-off. It is now the second-fastest goal at the U-20 Women’s World Cup history, only bested by team-mate Courtney Dike’s strike 18 seconds into Nigeria’s second group stage game against the South Koreans.

Peter Dedevbo’s side doubled their lead 11 minutes later with Oshoala putting her name on the Score sheet once again. Six minutes from time, Sunday blasted home from a corner kick from Six yards out to extend Nigeria’s lead to 3-0.

New Zealand’s Rolston helped the team get a consolation goal in the 89th minute but Nigeria restored their three-goal lead when Sunday scored her second goal in six minutes.

Having won three games in a row, Nigeria will enter the semi-finals to face Korea DPR.
